Employee story: project manager HVAC Kai

Kai Mäki works as a project manager, driven by his passion for problem-solving and managing technical building services. He finds the good spirit and down-to-earth approach at Premico to be the best aspects of his workplace.

What is your role at Premico?

I work in Premico’s construction management business under the title of Project Manager, HVAC, which in practice means working as an HVAC expert and supervisor, but also as a project manager in various different renovation tasks in buildings that can even be in use during the construction works.

In our construction management projects typical tasks are among other things different types of domestic water and electrical renovations, sewer lining and coating, window and balcony renovations, improving thermal insulation of the façade, roof renovations and coatings, elevator renovations and stairwell renovations. Improving the energy efficiency of properties is also a key part of our work.

What inspires and motivates you? What qualities and skills does your job require?

What motivates me most in my work is problem-solving. Taking care of technical building services is also inspiring. Of the required features, education in the field and work experience on construction sites are important in building services matters,so that it is possible to find the best possible solutions for the clients’ needs and in problem situations.

What is the best thing about Premico, or what sets it apart from others?

I think the best thing is the good spirit and the down-to-earth approach to things. We have extensive construction and maintenance expertise under one roof. The common goal of different businesses makes us all work together and increase our expertise in different real estate tasks.

What does the “Premico spirit” mean to you?

Premico’s spirit is friendliness, fun, cheerfulness and freedom in one’s own work, not forgetting solid professional skills.
