Premico’s carbon-neutral rental apartments are nearing completion in Turku

The 95 carbon-neutral rental apartments of Asunto Oy Turun Harppuunan Kippari, a project of Premico’s third housing fund, Premico Residential Fund III, are nearing completion. This A-energy class property, meeting the EU Taxonomy criteria, is being implemented at the BREEAM Environmental Certification level of Very Good.

At Turun Harppuunan Kippari, carbon dioxide emissions have been minimized since the planning and construction phases. The result is A-energy class homes where living is completely carbon-neutral in terms of property energy usage: ecological geothermal heating is employed as the building’s heating solution, and solar energy is also utilized in energy production.

The project has been overseen by building supervisor Heikki Lehtonen, who has over 10 years of experience in overseeing both new construction and renovation projects at Premico. Mangrove has acted as the project’s contractor.

Occupancy of the apartments will begin in late June or early July. Olli Partanen, Business Director for Living, expresses satisfaction.

“Premico’s journey originally began with rental housing brokerage in the Turku economic area. In recent years, our new developments have spread across Finland, so after a brief pause, it’s great to offer homes in Turku again. The locations of these properties are excellent, and the A-energy class provides an opportunity for more responsible living,” Partanen praises.

The team manager in customer service & support, Jenni Saarinen, who handled the initial presentation of the property, also praises the location.

“The location of Kippari in the unique Harppuuna block at Vallihaudankatu 1 is excellent, as it is close to Turku Castle, the riverbank, and downtown services,” Saarinen explains.

“In addition to the attractive location, the quality materials, unique floor plans, and large terraces caught the attention at the initial presentation—there are three two-story apartments in the property, and many units also have their own utility room. The cozy inner courtyard of Harppuuna, which features an outdoor gym and a running track around the yard, also deserves mention,” Saarinen concludes.
