BREEAM certificate for Turun Harppuunan Kippari

Completed in June, Turku Harppuunan Kippari, a residential property of Premico Residential Fund III, has been awarded the prestigious BREEAM certification. This recognition places the project among Premico’s sustainability-certified developments and underscores the company’s commitment to sustainable construction.

BREEAM-sertifikaatti Turun Harppuunan Kipparille

BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method) is one of the world’s most widely recognized environmental certification systems. The certification is granted to buildings that meet strict criteria in areas such as energy efficiency, material choices, indoor air quality and accessibility of the location.

Harppuunan Kippari is the second completed property of Premico Residential Fund III. Espoon Feeniks, completed in 2023, has achieved a Gold-level LEED certification. Both properties also comply with EU Taxonomy requirements and are rated in energy class A. The fund’s third project, Postinkulku in Helsinki, is currently under construction and will also meet the same high environmental standards upon completion.

Premico’s in-house construction management organization acted as construction consultant for the project, while the main contractor was Mangrove Oy. Ramboll was responsible for environmental consulting and for managing the certification process.

“The BREEAM certificate is a long-awaited recognition of the successful Turun Harppuun Kippari apartment building project,” says Ville Siivonen, Director, Residential Funds at Premico.

Located at Vallihaudankatu 1, close to Turku Castle and the Aura River, the property offers high-quality rental apartments in a prime location. Leasing is managed by Premico Kodit, a company specialized in rental housing brokerage and management.
