Ilkka Mäkelä has been appointed Asset Manager and will start in his role on 23 February 2026.
Mäkelä joins Premico from Newsec and previously worked for many years at Ramboll. He brings experience in the real estate sector, particularly in sustainability-related expert roles. At Premico, he will focus on asset management of residential real estate investments and supporting the long-term value development of the funds’ property portfolios.
“What interests me about Premico is its focus on residential real estate and the opportunity to gain experience from top professionals in housing investment. After a long consulting career, it is exciting to move into a role where I can contribute to the value development of assets from an investor’s perspective,” says Mäkelä.
According to Ville Siivonen, Director, Residential Funds at Premico, Mäkelä’s experience strengthens the company’s expertise particularly in sustainable real estate investment and asset management.
