Premico’s new carbon-neutral residential fund, Premico Carbon Neutral Residential Fund I (“PCNRF I”), has achieved a significant recognition: it is the first European residential fund to be classified as a Dark Green Fund under Article 9 of the new Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR). This is the highest possible classification and is granted only to investment products whose primarily objective is sustainability and which pursue highly ambitious environmental and responsibility goals.
The fund aims to develop approximately 1,700 new high-quality rental apartments in the Helsinki metropolitan area over the coming years. At the core of the invesment strategy are highly ambitious ESG objectives. In addition, the fund focuses on excellent locatios and stable cash flows that create long-term value for investors while at the same time providing affordable and high-quoality housing.
Premico’s new fund continues the company’s strategy of reducing the carbon footprint of the residential sector and accelerating the transition towards a more sustainable building stock.
