In spring 2024, we worked on our new strategy, listening to our customers and personnel. While the direction, vision and understanding of the owners’ intent require clarification and articulation, we also had to consider how we want to do things in the future.
Values are principles and beliefs that guide our actions, decision-making and corporate culture. They represent what we believe in and care about, and they help create a shared understanding of how we operate and the behaviors we expect from all our employees. In connection with our strategy work, our personnel were able to tell e.g. how well the values describe our operations, how they would describe Premico, and how the value we create to our customers is displayed.
We learned that our old values were felt to be somewhat relevant to our business, although some elements that we felt were important to each other were missing. The verbal responses highlighted clear themes from which our new values were refined.
Values live through actions. Their voice is heard in our decisions and spirit in the way we meet each other and our stakeholders. We reinforce values by creating visual memory traces. From the pen of Kakadu’s Ilona Partanen, the bold character Ronja was born, who adventures in our value illustrations, is greeted on the screen in the lobby of our office, appears in the backgrounds of our desks and in our Teams meetings. Our meeting rooms are also named after our values. Premico is courageous, competent, reliable and committed. With these spices, we courageously build success.
