Sustainability is part of everything we do

Premico’s sustainability work is based on our promise to create a better life for people and the environment. For us, sustainability is not a separate initiative – it is a way of operating and making decisions. Our activities are guided by our values, strategy, vision and mission. We believe that long-term, responsible real estate investing creates value for society, our clients and our owners alike.

Premico’s sustainability work is based on the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and focuses on three key themes:

  1. Environmental and climate responsibility
  2. People and social responsibilitY
  3. Financial responsibility and good governance

Through these themes, we build a corporate culture that supports sustainable development, well-being and ethical decision-making.

Environment and Climate Responsibility

Premico actively contributes to mitigating climate change and reducing the environmental impact of the real estate industry. We continuously strive to reduce emissions across our managed properties and improve their energy efficiency.

Concrete actions include:

  • Investments in renewable energy solutions, such as solar power and geothermal heat
  • Improving the energy efficiency of our properties
  • Promoting the circular economy and the reuse of materials
  • Annual carbon footprint calculation (starting in 2024)

Our goal is to achieve a low-carbon real estate portfolio and to be part of the solution to climate change.

People and Social Responsibility

Premico’s operations are built on people – their well-being, expertise and motivation. We want every employee to experience their work as meaningful and to have opportunities for professional growth.

We place special emphasis on:

We monitor employee experience through reliable indicators (including eNPS and well-being surveys) and set clear targets for continuous improvement.

Premico is committed to transparent and ethical business operations. We create financial value for our clients while taking environmental and societal interests into account.

For us, responsible financial management means in particular:

  • Adherence to good governance and continuous development of risk management
  • Monitoring return on invested capital and client satisfaction
  • Integrity, transparency and ethical principles in all decision-making

Premico’s Code of Conduct guides our employees and partners to act ethically and responsibly.

Reporting and Monitoring

From 2024 onwards, we publish an annual sustainability report that transparently describes the progress and results of our sustainability work. Our reporting is based on our self-defined sustainability targets and the material topics we have identified within corporate responsibility.
