Commercial Construction: Original Sokos Hotel Vantaa

Premico Construction Management served as the client representative for the major refurbishment project of Original Sokos Hotel Vantaa.
The majority of the property is used for hotel operations. The hotel comprises a total of 265 guest rooms and 4 additional hotel/meeting rooms. The property also includes restaurant and conference facilities as well as an underground parking garage. The scope of the project included:
- comprehensive refurbishment of interior spaces and replacement of surface materials and furnishings
- reconstruction of bathrooms in guest rooms located in the older section of the building
- extensive renewal of technical building systems in the older section, including sewage, ventilation, risers/distribution centers, and building automation
- installation of cooling systems in all rooms
- upgrade of surface materials in kitchen and restaurant areas
- construction of a new pizza restaurant in the hotel lobby.
Premico Construction Management acted as the project manager and client representative throughout the project.
In parallel with the hotel refurbishment, the renovation of the Carl Albert Edelfelt Square in front of the hotel was carried out in cooperation with the City of Vantaa. The project also included the renewal of the waterproofing membrane on the deck of the underground parking garage located beneath the square.
