Commercial Construction: Marski by Scandic

Premico Construction Management acted as the project management consultant for the refurbishment, extension, and change of use project of the Marski by Scandic Hotel.
- The project included the construction of an extension on the Lönnrotinkatu side, comprehensive refurbishment of the interiors, and the construction of new hotel rooms, including the renewal of building services engineering.
- The change of use involved converting a parking garage into hotel rooms and other communal facilities. The zoning change received legal validity in 2016.
- As a result of the change of use, the number of hotel rooms increased from 222 to 296. Of the new rooms, 55 are windowless, and 14 are fully accessible. A notable feature of the project was the presence of windowless rooms and the logistical challenges posed by the central urban location.
- Premico Construction Management served as the project management consultant and project leader and was responsible for tendering the design professionals. Following project completion, Premico has also been responsible for the technical management of the property.
