Premico is a real estate fund and asset management company specialised in residential investments, with roots reaching back over six decades. <\/strong>Our story is one of growth \u2014 from a family business to a modern, responsible, and internationally oriented company \u2014 and above all, about the people who have seen things differently and believed in continuous improvement.<\/strong><\/p>\n

1963 \u2013 It all begins in Turku<\/h2>\n

In 1963, Pertti Vaula<\/strong> founded Turun Asuntovuokratoimisto, Pertti Vaula<\/strong>. In its early years, the company focused on renting apartments in the Turku region.

1995 \u2013 Generational change and new growth<\/h2>\n

In 1995, Pertti\u2019s son, Janne Vaula<\/strong>, took over as CEO. Under his leadership, the family business entered a new growth phase and began exploring opportunities in the evolving housing market. It was the start of a journey towards broader and more professional operations.
\n\"Asuntovuokratoimisto<\/p>\n

2009 \u2013 The birth of Asuntoverstas<\/h2>\n

In 2009, the Vaula family\u2019s company merged with that of Samuel Tuomola<\/strong>, forming Asuntoverstas Yhti\u00f6t Oy<\/strong>. The new company combined a broader range of expertise, experience, and a shared ambition to develop the Finnish housing market.

\nCollaboration with a Finnish asset management company brought private equity know-how, and the first residential funds were established that same year. By 2014, six funds were in operation, and the company opened its first Helsinki office on Runeberginkatu.<\/p>\n

2016 \u2013 From Asuntoverstas to Premico<\/h2>\n

In 2016, Asuntoverstas acquired Real Case Oy\u2019s<\/strong> construction management business, further strengthening its development and project management capabilities. That same year, the company was fully renewed \u2013 a new name and a new phase were born: Premico<\/strong>.

In 2016, Premico and Auratum<\/strong> jointly established Finland\u2019s first private equity fund focused on housing built with short-term interest subsidy loans. In 2019, a sister fund was launched \u2013 the first to be founded entirely by Premico\u2019s in-house team.<\/p>\n

2020\u20132022 \u2013 A pioneer in responsibility and quality<\/h2>\n

In 2021, Premico moved to The First property on Aleksanterinkatu in central Helsinki, and later that year, Jyrki Kaskinen<\/strong> was appointed CEO of Premico Group Oy<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In 2022, Premico Residential Fund III was established<\/a> \u2013 a residential fund developing rental apartment buildings that are carbon-neutral in use \u2013 reinforcing Premico\u2019s position as a forerunner in sustainable living.<\/p>\n

2022\u20132023 \u2013 New leadership and a shared mission<\/h2>\n

In 2022, a residential building developed under a Premico-managed fund became the first in Finland to receive a BREEAM environmental certificate at the design stage<\/a>. That same year, Sami Kiehel\u00e4<\/strong> was appointed CEO \u2013 Premico\u2019s first CEO from outside the owner group<\/a>.<\/p>\n

2024\u20132025 \u2013 Focusing on core expertise<\/h2>\n

In June 2024, Premico published its new strategy.<\/p>\n

In 2025, the company released its first-ever sustainability report<\/a> and sold its construction management business<\/a> to focus solely on residential real estate investment management. Premico\u2019s goal is to be the preferred partner for institutional investors in the Finnish residential market.<\/p>\n

Today and tomorrow<\/h2>\n

Premico\u2019s strength has always been in its people \u2013 in community, deep housing market expertise, a collaborative spirit, and a shared desire to grow together.<\/p>\n

Today, Premico is an investment organisation that manages and develops Finnish residential assets on behalf of professional investors.<\/p>\n
